What should I wear in Colorado?

I take a weekend in Colorado, November 12. They said it may be snow at that time. I am in the Denver area. I'm from Texas where the winter falls in the 50 low for the most part, we see the 30s for a few days, and it has not snowed here significantly since 1985. So what should I bring on this trip? I will not go skiing, maybe some hiking, but it everything. I have some thermal fuse gore-tex that I wore for cycling, so I'll take them, but to be in the snow, what kind of shoes / boots? Pants, jeans or authorized? Thank you for all your comments.

Polypro Polypro Polypro. It will give your dry skin from your sweat or snow …. Use lots of layers .. better to have them, too hot, then take off what you need. NEVER wear cotton .. once it gets wet, it remains moist and you will * really * cold all the time. For hiking, I carry a thin layer of polypropylene, a heavy bottom topped with a ski pant. On top wear 2-3 layers of polypropylene sleaved long and a warm jacket outdoors is waterproof. Wear hiking boots with Gore-Tex and well padded socks. Enjoy!
