computer will not boot, it makes beeps with high and low tones then powers off?

havent downloaded anything recently, i have virus and firewall protection. I was watching Thomas the Train on youtube with my daughter and the computer just turned off, i thought something came unplugged but no.

Remove the video card and run an eraser on the connecting pins. Now, put it back in. If it still does the same, remove all the ram and just leave one chip in it.

If you would tell me the number of beeps , I could pinpoint it much easier but usually, it has to do with the video or ram..

Now, if the beeps are repetitious and fast, then the motherboard is damaged.
